Established in 2021, BSFFarm Co.,Ltd. is pioneering the future of sustainable waste management and insect farming in South Korea. We own 10,000㎡ of land and are currently constructing a 3,000㎡ automated facility, which will be the first of its kind in Korea to implement a large-scale, automated Black Soldier Fly (BSF) rearing model.
Our innovative approach leverages South Korea’s world-leading food waste separation system. We have a unique and highly efficient infrastructure for BSF cultivation: sterilized food waste, an ideal feed source for BSF larvae, is delivered to our farm via 25-ton tank lorries from waste treatment companies. This system is so efficient that these companies pay us approximately $1,000 USD per delivery for us to take their sterilized waste.
Furthermore, BSFFarm has developed proprietary technology to ferment this sterilized food waste using specialized microorganisms. This ensures a completely odor-free environment within our rearing facility, addressing a common challenge in insect farming and reinforcing our commitment to both efficiency and environmental responsibility.
