A senior lecturer and a dedicated researcher at the Institute of Biological Sciences, Universiti Malaya. With a PhD in aquaculture nutrition research, she has a proven track record in the field of fish nutrition and feed technology. Her current research is focused on developing sustainable animal feed solutions, with a key emphasis on utilizing local renewable resources such as insect meal from black soldier fly larvae and crickets.
Beyond her research, Hidayah is passionate about bringing a voice to the industry. As an advocate, she actively collaborates with partners to promote cost-effective feed and the implementation of circular bioeconomic principles. As an Executive committee candidate, she is committed to strengthening AFFIA’s role as a representative body for its members and to fostering a stronger relationship with government agencies, industries, and multiple stakeholders to improve the insect-based industry.
